“Flight in general is an interesting thing to watch,” said Senior Master Sgt. Janeen Miller of the Rhode Island Air National Guard’s 143rd Airlift Wing.
Since 1991, one of Rhode Island’s favorite places to watch flight is the Rhode Island National Guard Open House Air Show, held at the Quonset Air National Guard Base in North Kingstown on Saturday and Sunday. Miller estimated that, if the weather is good, the air show will attract up to 40,000 people per day. (The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will once again operate free train service to and from the air show. See details below.)
