As Dennis Colberg dips a small container attached to a long pole into the raging wastewater flow below, not far from the shore of Narragansett Bay, one might expect a dirty hue come back up from the water. Not so, as Quonset Development Corporation’s Wastewater Treatment Facility at the end of Zarbo Avenue is running to perfection, as it normally does.
“I just like coming to work here,” said the facility superintendent, who oversees more than 20 miles of pipeline and a wastewater plant which treats close to 400,000 gallons of water per day.
