“The Trump administration’s cuts to cybersecurity are “very troubling,” said former US Representative James R. Langevin, who now serves as distinguished chair of Rhode Island College’s new Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies.
On the Rhode Island Report podcast, Langevin said he was alarmed that President Trump’s wide-ranging job cuts include more than 130 employees at the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which oversees the nation’s critical infrastructure, including federal efforts to secure election systems.”
