On Saturday, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and their families will be collecting for the annual “Scouting for Food” drive, one of the Boy Scouts of America’s most rewarding and meaningful service projects. This year’s campaign marks Narragansett Council’s 30th year of assisting families in need throughout Rhode Island and Southern New England. Please help us make this the largest collection in years.
Last Saturday, Scouts from troops and packs in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Southern Massachusetts left flyers on the doors of homes throughout the area. These same Scouts will be returning this Saturday to pick up contributions and deliver them to local food banks. One-hundred percent of “Scouting for Food” donations collected in Washington County stay here.
