Governor Gina Raimondo and Rhode Island leaders recently chose Quonset to sign legislation that supports the growth of clean energy. The Governor was joined by State Energy Commissioner Carol Grant, Department of Environmental Management Director Janet Coit, and Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank CEO Jeffrey Diehl for the event held earlier this summer. General Assembly sponsoring clean energy legislation included: Sen. William Conley (East Providence, Pawtucket), Sen. Louis DiPalma (Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Tiverton), Sen. Erin Lynch Prata (Warwick/Cranston), Sen. Susan Sosnowski (South Kingstown/New Shoreham), Rep. Lauren Carson (Newport), Rep. Arthur Handy (Cranston), Rep. Kenneth Marshall (Bristol/Warren), Rep. Deborah Ruggiero (Jamestown/Middletown), and Rep. Aaron Regunberg (Providence). They were joined by Rep. Bob Craven (North Kingstown) who represents Quonset.
