“Slacks Pond Beach is now cleaner and safer to walk on after Eagle Scout Mario Fonseca of Troop 76 in Providence organized a cleanup for his scout project.
With the help of members of Troop 76, Fonseca said he cleaned up about 10 bags of trash for his Eagle Scout project. He also built and installed fishing line disposal bins to ensure that lines are thrown away after use, helping to protect wildlife and keep the beach clean.”
