The Boy Scouts of America Narragansett Council will host its annual Merit Badge College on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Rhode Island College, 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave., from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will feature counselors from the community who will hold informative courses for Scouts to earn badges in their fields of expertise. Courses will range in topics from crime prevention to engineering to journalism.
