The Coventry Police Department recognized a local Eagle Scout candidate Monday night for his service to the department and to the community. Brendan Dowling of Boy Scout Troop 11 Coventry was awarded the K9 Enzo Community Service Award.
Along with his family and other members of his troop, Dowling removed and replaced the shed at the Animal Control Facility at no cost to the town. In addition, the Scouts helped at the facility by organizing food and supplies and raking the yard.
