PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island Housing had received 9,376 applications as of 3 p.m. Monday for the voucher wait lists of Rhode Island Housing and the Providence Housing Authority.
In addition, Rhode Island Housing reported, there have been no lines at the 16 satellite sites opened on Monday to assist people who don’t have access to computers.
The two agencies are participating in a joint opening of their waiting lists for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, the federal government’s main form of housing assistance for low-income families and individuals.
