What sparks your enthusiasm at work?
Finding the perfect way to package a message. I love crafting a sharp op-ed or press release.  I also enjoy the creative process of brainstorming new PR campaigns that use all the tools out there to reach the right audience.

What is your definition of a good day?

First, it must start with enough sleep and coffee. Then comes a solid burst of productivity – a few hours in a row with little interruption. Then, a sprinkling of friendly conversation with friends and colleagues. Learning something new. A hearty dose of laughter. Rising to new challenges and proving something to myself, and then getting into bed at a reasonable time with a good book.

If you could leave the office and go anywhere, where would it be?
Los Angeles, to visit my sister -- the actress, cellist, trapeze artist and dedicated yogi. Internationally, it would have to be Vietnam or Malaysia, which have always fascinated me. Or possibly Dublin, because I’m a big fan of pub songs and love ballads.

If you could wave a magic wand and solve one world problem, what would it be?
I’m pretty sure overpopulation is the central cause of almost all other issues, like war, famine, poverty, environmental degradation and economic woes. Basically, there are too many cooks in the global kitchen. If I had a magic wand, I’d get rid of some of them – particularly, the mean ones.

An influential book?
“A Prayer for Owen Meany,” by John Irving, is one of my all-time favorites. One of the most powerful endings of all times, and that’s all I’ll say. Read it.

First job
Babysitting for a boy who had me read sections of the Encyclopedia Britannica to him at bedtime. He’ll probably be my boss someday.
