Green Friendly Golf Belts it Out
You’re a small Rhode Island company, basically three guys working out of a warehouse beside a cemetery trying to manufacture, sell and promote a very cool product on a very tight budget. The company is The Green Friendly Golf Company and they came to New Harbor Group with the hope that we could take their small marketing budget and create buzz for their golf belt through public relations. We did not disappoint.
Like everything we do, we did not look at the product one dimensionally, i.e. “It’s a golf product so let’s pitch it to golf magazines.” While we did get them regional and national coverage in the usual suspects, we also got the belt into top tier promotional and meeting planner trade publications and others that we thought fit the belt’s demographic i.e. Cigar Aficionado. Not bad for three guys working on a tight budget, out of a warehouse, next to a cemetery.
